What Do You Expect of Church Education...
for your children...for yourself?

Jacki Bogolia is asking each person at Trinity Church to consider these questions. As part of an assignment for her class at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, she will gather input from the congregation and prepare a paper on the subject. You are invited to contact Jacki directly or share your ideas with others in a focus group setting. Groups will meet for about an hour on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. In addition to helping Jacki get an “A” in her class, you will be making a valuable contribution to the planning of Trinity’s ChristianEducation ministry. (WOW! You could do two good deeds AND say what’s onyour mind! How often does an opportunity like that come along??) Contact Jacki at church 847-439-0950 or by email.

We will face Weekly Challenges, post Fast Forward pictures and videos, pass Bible quizzes, and challenge other youth groups to race along side our team. Confirmation

Confirmation Class continues for our Junior High young people.

Pastor offers a two-year Confirmation curriculum for Confirmation. The first year is a study of what it means to be a Christian. The Apostle’s Creed is used as the general study guide. The young people will memorize the Creed while learning about the basic content of the Christian faith. This curriculum will be used for the 2007-2008 Church program year.

The second year of Confirmation is a study of what it means to be a United Methodist Christian. Pastor will use the acrostic GAHS (Grace, Assurance, Holiness, and Service) as the starting point for an examination of the practices, beliefs, organization, and history of The United Methodist Church.

Young people may be confirmed at any time during their Confirmation experience, but are expected to complete the curriculum in order to gain the greatest advantage from the classes.
