Trinity Hikers

(Anyone who enjoys hiking a trail and seeing the beauty of nature)

hiker

A hiking trip is in the planning stages for August 7 - 11 to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula of Michigan). From Mt. Prospect we would carpool 364 miles (about 6 1/2 hours) to Munising. There are many hiking trails in the area. Our main hike would be an all day, leisurely, 9 mile loop that would take us through the woods past 2 waterfalls, along sandy beaches and to the top of sandstone cliffs 200 feet above the clear, blue waters of Lake Superior. The other 2 days would be spent hiking much shorter trails and taking a 3 hour boat trip to get a different perspective of the massive rocky cliffs.

Thirteen people have expressed interest and have signed up for the August 7-11 trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. For pictures, maps and more information, check out the poster in the narthex or call Lois Spillar at 847-398-4838 if you’d like to come with us.
