Trinity Prayer Shawl
We hope that knitters at Trinity will help make a Trinity Prayer Shawl. The beginning several rows of the shawl have been completed. The pattern is simple, knit three, purl three. This new creation of love is on the needles with a large ball of yarn ready for anyone to knit a row or two. When you come to a meeting or an event at church, and would like to work on this for a while you could pick up the materials from a drawer of the desk located in the main coat room off the narthex area and have at it!

The handiwork doesn’t have to be perfect since God wants your availability not necessarily your ability. This prayer shawl will be a shawl to stay at church for the use of any man, woman or young person who needs some warmth and comfort. When one wraps oneself in a prayer shawl, one is wrapped in God’s love protection and also in the love and protection of the people who made it. April Patek

The UM Women have an ongoing collection program of stamps (new, used, foreign or domestic), new or used greeting cards, UPC bar codes from Campbell products and education box-top coupons (these are also on Kleenex boxes). Items are being collected in containers on top of the hallway coat racks near the office

CDs of Worship Services available: We are finding that CDs of our services are very well received and distribution is growing. These are great for absent family members, friends at a distance and most of our friends and potential attenders nearby. Thanks to June Park and Noreen Heyde, who have volunteered to deliver CDs to those of us who are unable to come to worship services and want to remain connected. Is this something you could help with as well? Also note: CD’s are great for introducing potential attenders to the Ministry of Trinity. Consider getting copies to give to friends and neighbors.

If you are planning a church event and have need for the sound system, please give us advanced notice in writing. You may drop your request in the church office.

Help is needed in these areas: (1) be part of the A/V Team; (2) assist in the church office; (3) deliver CDs from Sunday services to homebound; (4) assist with communion

Please keep praying for Chloe Fowlkes as she continues to undergo a rigorous treatment schedule this month. We’ve learned that the best way to support Chole and her family right now is with cash donations to help offset their extreme expenses (including both medical and travel). You may make checks payable to Trinity UMC and note: “Chloe Fowlkes’ Fund” on the check.

Thanks to Barbara Gonyo for a large donation of books to the Trinity Library. All of these books are about ADOPTION and/or ADOPTION ISSUES. Some are published and written by known writers and others are selfpublished books and written by people who experienced issues on adoption such as BEING ADOPTED, BEING A BIRTH PARENT, RELINQUISHMENT, SEARCH and REUNION. Also on the shelf (near the checkout cards) you will find a Book List.

After many years of Coordinating the Trinity PADS Homeless site, Sharon Loveless is resigning to spend more time with her family. She will remain involved but in a different way. If this may be an area of ministry you would like to explore and would consider the volunteer position of coordinating, please give us a call at 847-439-0950.
