Outreach Spring 2013

Guest attendance has been unusually high with as many as 43 guests on one night.  So, it is more important than ever that the shifts are fully staffed.  In particular, volunteers will be needed for the 2nd and 3rd shifts in April. If you can help, please sign up in the Narthex.    Call Charlotte Sneed McCall with questions.

Bring pop can tabs (and tabs from other cans) to Trinity.  There will be a container in the narthex for the collection.  They will help support the four Ronald McDonald Houses in the Chicago land area.  Why pop tabs?  They are clean, compact, and have the highest-grade aluminum in the entire can.  So, the pop tab has the highest recycling value.  The charity will receive the market value of the metal in the tabs, plus a charitable match from United Scrap Metal. Ronald McDonald Houses provide a place for families to eat, sleep and find the emotional support they need – just blocks from where their child is being treated. Questions?  Contact Lois Spillar

Thank you to all of the people who have made Trinity’s Prayer Blanket Ministry a success.  This includes the people who buy the material, cut the fringes, ask for a blanket for a family member or friend, and those who say a prayer and tie a knot.  Also, thank you to those who have generously made a donation so that Trinity can continue to reach out with prayer and love.  If you would like to request a blanket for someone, or would like to participate in preparing a blanket, please call Carol Hug  or Rosa Lee Lindsey

Collection continues of items for Food Pantries, WINGS, and JOURNEYS/the ROAD HOME.  Please place donations in the appropriate box in the Narthex.
