Praise and Gratitude for Youth Sunday

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who was involved in making Youth Sunday happen recently. Thank you for sharing your gifts and allowing the congregation to learn from you!

We are so blessed at Trinity by our youth and young adults. And not just on Youth Sunday! All year long, the young people at Trinity are generous with their Presence, Service, Gifts, Prayers.

Our youth, friends, youth leaders and many members of the church support one another with their presence every week in worhsip services, Sunday School, Confirmation classes, music group practices. Every worship service you’re likely to find youth serving as musicians, A/V operators, ushers, acolytes, readers theater participants, liturgists. Every Friday, not to mention a few fun lock-ins and special summer activities youth, volunteers and youth leaders come together for fellowship.

It is not just fun and games on Friday nights! Throughout fall and winter, the youth assist with PADS set up. All year round, youth spend a lot of time helping out at the WINGS office across the street. Donations of groceries need sorting, Easter baskets need filling, school backpacks need stuffing, Secret Santa presents need wrapping…. the list goes on and on. It is truly inspirational to watch these young people, anxious to help, work so hard to make a difference in the life of local families in crisis.

Many of us in the Trinity family have benefitted from the Fall Cleanup weeks that our youth offered. What a fun and creative way to benefit Trinity’s missions!

The young people of Trinity, their friends and youth leaders are actively engaged in dialogue about their lives and what is important to them, as well as what is happening here at Trinity and around the world. This is due in no small part to the strong, supportive, environment created by everyone at Trinity! This is truly a family affair!

You kids are the BEST!!!
