Prayer Blanket Ministry

WHAT IS A PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRY

It is an outreach ministry of the church to a person who is absent from the congregation for a variety of reasons – illness, away at college, family problems, etc.

WHAT I S A PRAYER BLANKET

It is a piece of fleece 50” by 60” and deeply fringed on all 4 sides.  It is the perfect size to cover a lap.

HOW DOES THIS MINISTRY WORK

There is someone who would benefit from the gift of a blanket and congregational prayers.  A blanket is brought to the Sunday church service and individual prayers are said for the person.  Each person who prays can then tie a knot in one of the fringes.  The blanket is delivered to the recipient with the assurance that God loves him/her as do their Trinity Family.

WHO IS MAKING THE BLANKETS

All members of Trinity are invited to come the second Saturday morning of each month – 9:00 to 12: 00 AM or the third Tuesday evening of each month – 7:00 to 9:00.  Spend as little or as much time as you can cutting fringe.   Both men and women are welcome.
