January Mission Moment: The Good Samaritan

This month’s Mission Moment is the Good Samaritan Fund. Our pastor serves as trustee of this fund which supports community members in need of urgent or immediate assistance within limits. This primarily takes the form of providing gas gift cards, or gift cards for food, diapers, etc. at a Jewel / Osco or Target-type store. This fund aims to provide emergency aid in a manner that fosters independence rather than dependency, which is consistent with the mission of Trinity.

Order forms are in the Narthex or online shopping at raiseright.com. Orders are due by the 1st Sunday of the month (December 7th) and happy shopping!

Trinity’s Generosity

Trinity’s generosity is a hallmark of our community.  
We have been so blessed by your faithful giving over the past few weeks—thank you! Here are three ways to prayerfully give:

We are still receiving mail at the church, and invite you to mail in your financial gifts.

  1. Please consider setting up an online giving account. You can set up a one-time gift or a monthly deduction from your checking account. If you are already accustomed to online billing, then this is easy and convenient—and it helps us tremendously! You can also use a credit card online, but we recommend the checking account option. Please contact the church office with instructions and/or help with how to do this: officeadmin@trinitymp.org 
  2. To give online, go to: trinitymp.org under the Give Tab.

Join Our Scrip Program

Trinity has established a Scrip Program using the ShopWithScrip organization.  Scrip is physical gift cards, electronic gift cards and/or card reloads.  ShopWithScrip offers scrip from more than 750 retailers, including popular grocery, department, discount, drug, and specialty stores, restaurants, online retailers and many more.  When purchasing scrip for face value, a portion of the purchase (2% – 16%) is donated to Trinity.  

Initially, we have rolled out the paper gift card forms for purchasing physical cards that are delivered at church on the third Sunday of each month.  Eventually, Trinity members and friends will be able to purchase scrip, using either paper forms at church, or by going online with their computer or phone.  For additional information, see the church narthex display or contact Beth Carroll (Scrip Coordinator) or Lloyd Unger (Trinity Treasurer).

Gift cards Orders are delivered at Church on the third Sunday of the month.

Orders for January should be placed in the Scrip box (in Narthex) by Sunday, January 5th, and will be delivered on January 19th.
