Easter Egg Hunt For All Ages

Resurrection isn’t just a promise for the life beyond; it’s a reality available to you here and now. The moment you confess Jesus as your Lord, the incredible power that raised Him from the dead becomes accessible to you in your everyday life. Each step of your journey can be filled with this transformative power of resurrection.
As we began the sacred journey of Holy Week, we reflected on the joyous celebration of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. The jubilant crowd welcomed Him with heartfelt shouts, “Hosanna, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” However, as the week progressed, the same crowd would later cry, “Take him away! Crucify him!”. On Good Friday, we are reminded of the profound suffering endured by Jesus, marking a poignant day filled with pain and suffering. Yet, even amidst the deep sorrow that followed His crucifixion, we embrace Holy Saturday as a time to process the wave of loss and grief ultimately leading us toward the darkness of confusion. This holy week invites us to reflect on the complexities of faith, love, and the incredible sacrifice that paves the way for redemption.
The story of the crucifixion does not end in despair. The tomb where Jesus was laid was found empty, heralding His miraculous resurrection. Jesus appeared to the grieving women, the fearful disciples, and even to those who once cried, “Crucify Him!”. Upon encountering the risen Christ, their anxieties melted away. They were no longer afraid to share His teachings. For these individuals, the resurrection of Jesus Christ became a transformative moment, igniting a profound change in their lives and instilling hope in their hearts.
Jesus said, “I’m the resurrection and the life.” (John 11:25; CEB) He didn’t merely teach about resurrection or show the way to it; Jesus Himself embodies resurrection. Are you burdened by worries about tomorrow? Feeling trapped by fears regarding your health? Experiencing pain, grief, or confusion? I invite you to embrace Jesus as your resurrection.
I warmly invite you to join the Holy Week Services at Trinity United Methodist Church. These services will offer you a space to release your pain, grief, and confusion, so that you discover that the same resurrection power that transformed Jesus is alive and available to you today.

If you’re interested in helping out occasionally and would like to receive updates about upcoming garden work days, please reach out to Lois Spillar directly or contact the church office.
