Dear Trinity Family,
I’m thrilled to share a heartfelt story and an incredible opportunity with you all.

When I was a freshman in college, I sought a meaningful summer job and found it as a camp counselor with SpringHill Camps. This experience was more than just a job—it was life-changing. I traveled with my team to different churches, leading day camps filled with activities like large group skits, worship songs, tie-dye, rock climbing, bungee jumping, and giant inflatable water slides. Yet, the most impactful parts were the deep connections I made with students, church members, and fellow counselors. Through small group lessons and heartfelt conversations, I grew spiritually, formed lifelong friendships, and observed firsthand as campers connected with God throughout the week.
My summers with SpringHill not only fueled my passion for ministry and teaching but also introduced me to a strong, supportive community. This journey led me to my role as Director of Children’s Ministry here at Trinity. When I accepted this position, I shared with Pastor Sam my dream of bringing the SpringHill experience to our community—and I’m overjoyed to announce that this dream is now a reality!
We’ve partnered with Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church who will host SpringHill Day Camps from June 23-27. Here’s how you and your family can get involved:
For Kids (1st-5th Grade):
- Campers: Spots are open for an unforgettable week of faith, fun, and friendship.
For Youth (Middle School & High School):
- Counselors in Training (CITs): Students who have completed 6th grade and up can volunteer to assist counselors in leading Bible studies, activities, games, and songs. CIT training is on Sunday, June 22, with camp running Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
For Young Adults (16+):
- Paid Counselor Positions: Lead a group of elementary-aged campers in Bible study and adventure activities. This role runs from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon, with a stipend of $200.
A week with SpringHill can be transformative. I encourage every Trinity family to consider this remarkable opportunity—for your children to be campers, your youth to volunteer, or even for young adults to step into leadership roles. Please reach out to me if you have any questions! Information to apply and register can be found below
