United Missions Update

The  24 items on the Warming Tree in the narthex were donated to Journeys last week.  Thank you to everyone who contributed an item to keep other people warm this winter.

Included below is the end of the year report that tells how much was donated to each of our missions during 2025.  Undesignated money was divided among the various missions.

Missions for 2026
Many are the same as last year but 5 are new ones.
One will be emphasized each month during 2026.

UMM Organizational Meeting

United Methodist Men is a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually, and to seek daily His will.

If anyone is interested in helping to resurrect the Lake North District United Methodist Men and discussing what that process could look like moving forward, please contact Frank Rivera directly to join this important meeting and help shape the future of Lake North District United Methodist Men. We’ve lost momentum since COVID, and could use some new energy!

Trinity Good Samaritan Fund

The Good Samaritan Fund is one way we live out Christ’s call to care for our neighbors. It provides confidential, short-term assistance for those facing urgent financial needs, allowing our church to respond with compassion, respect, and practical support when it’s needed most. Look for the Mission envelopes in the pews on Sunday to give or go online to www.trinitymp.org/give.  Raise Right Gift Card order forms in the narthex are a great way to order Food or Gas Cards for this cause. See Lloyd Unger for further details on card ordering, or Wendi Thourson for information on the fund itself. 

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Join us in celebrating Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with prayers, testimonies, music (including Trinity Chancel Choir) and a guest speaker.

There is no cost, but registration is requested to help us prepare the correct amount of food. This is a worship service followed by a light supper afterward…
Open to the community and Northern Illinois Conference of UMC. 

Bus Transportation is available from multiple church locations to the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration. Spots are limited.

  • Bus #1: 14 spots, Schaumburg: Our Savior’s, 701 E. Schaumburg Rd. Departure at 1:45 p.m.
  • Bus #2: 35 spots, Chicago: St. Mark, 8441 S. St. Lawrence Ave. Departure at 12:45 p.m.
