Essential cleaning supplies and personal care products for D59 families will be distributed with other gifts provided by Mount Prospect Neighbors Helping Neighbors in time for Christmas. We are grateful for Trinity Preschool Director Amy Pracko and Preschool mom “alum” Michelle Notini who help to strengthen our community connections.
Outreach Ministry
Kids Above All
School District 59
Community Consolidated School District 59 includes families living adjacent to our church building and in the surrounding neighborhoods of Mount Prospect, Elk Grove Village and Des Plaines. Families’ greatest everyday needs include child care, cleaning and laundry supplies, diapers, paper towels, hand sanitizer, garbage bags, feminine hygiene products, and quarters for laundry. The Empowerment Fund administered by the District 59 Foundation receives cash donations that help pay utility bills. Scrip gift cards purchased through Trinity are an excellent way to provide families with a flexible means of purchasing essential items. Contact Community and Family Ministry Director Jacki Bogolia for more information on how to connect with our neighbors in tangible ways. Click here to order gift cards for D59 families.
B.R.E.A.T.H.E Community Chat
As we continue to proclaim that Racism is incompatible with Christian teaching, we invite you to join this local Mount Prospect group virtually (zoom) for Community Chats, this Thursday (Nov. 19) at 7 pm. Register here, and you will be sent the zoom link.
Ministry to the homeless continuing
Our ministry to homeless and transient folks is continuing!!! Our PADS/Journeys connection has been an important mission outreach for Trinity for many years. This year, the opportunity to serve the homeless looks different, but is equally important. We hope you will participate through your prayers, your actions, your giving, or in person (as you feel safe). See more info below:
Trinity has signed up to provide dinner on the second Friday of each month, beginning October 9th. If you are interested in helping deliver those meals, you’ll need to attend an orientation through Journeys which is available online. If you would like to volunteer to prepare, purchase or package food; deliver meals; or provide a monetary donation, please contact Kathy Moulds: E-mail: kathy4629@att.net; Text: 847-404-9123
Let us know how you would like to be a part of our PADS mission or if you have any questions.
Thank you!
