The UMCOR Sunday offering underwrites UMCOR’s administrative costs. This offering allows UMCOR to use 100% of all funds given to humanitarian response and recovery efforts directly to communities in need. These gifts ensure UMCOR can respond swiftly to disasters around the world and as a source of hope and healing for those left most vulnerable.
United Women in Faith is collecting materials for the Companions Journeying Together Mother’s Day Project for prison ministry and need your help. The following items are needed (collection basket is in narthex)
Mother’s Day cards, Birthday cards, Thinking of you cards, note cards. Stationary, forever stamps, golf pencils (no erasers), paper lunch bags approx 5”x3”x10”. All items are needed by March 28th. Thank you for your help!
This Sunday, you are invited to bring non perishable food donations in support of our Manna Sunday initiative. Donations should be placed in the blue bins marked “Food Pantry” located between the sanctuary doors leading to the parking lot. Thank you for helping connect Holy Communion with donating life-supporting food to help our community.
UMC Abundant Health (Project 3021770) is a comprehensive, global initiative by The United Methodist Church focusing on holistic well-being—physical, mental, and spiritual—by improving health for children and communities. There are many Funds within this Project that are supported by this initiative which reflects the church’s commitment to continuing Jesus’s ministry of healing and ensuring that everyone can experience “abundant life”. The program targets maternal and child health, malaria, malnutrition, and HIV/AIDS.
The Mission Moment for February is one of those Project Funds: Nigeria Health Board Health Systems (Project 3021770; Fund #706). Description: Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities are often the first point of contact for Nigerians seeking medical care. PHCs benefit the country’s poorest and most isolated who would otherwise go without medical care.
Project/Fund goal: to ensure UMC health facilities meet the World Health Organization’s standards of primary care, thus improving health equity and reducing morbidity and mortality in rural areas.
