Trinity’s mission focus for November is Kids Above All (KAA). Since 1894, Kids Above All has created safer, stronger and healthier communities for children and families in Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake counties through early childhood education, safe, supportive housing, and trauma-informed counseling programs. Every child in KAA’s care has experienced trauma — abuse, neglect, poverty, violence or injustice. Kids Above All provides the support they need to have the best possible life. kidsaboveall.org

Last Sunday, the 36 names Trinity had for KAA’s Christmas gift program were quickly taken. Thank you for your support! The gifts are due back at church on either Nov. 30th or December 7th. Contact Lois if you are interested in going with to Des Plaines on Dec. 9th to deliver and help check in and wrap gifts. If you did not take a name and want to donate to Kids Above All, use the pew mission envelope or give online.

In these difficult days, it has become increasingly dangerous for our Hispanic/Latine neighbors to leave their homes—including for work, which results in lost pay; to take children to their school bus stops; to shop for groceries; and to attend worship services.
To provide some relief, Bishop Schwerin has established an Emergency Solidarity Fund. It will assist primarily Hispanic/Latine people (but also other immigrants) who are increasingly vulnerable. Gifts from this fund will help people with whom our churches directly minister and those in our towns and neighborhoods. https://www.umcnic.org/SolidarityFund
Offering plate (or online – link above) giving with a note that it is for the Bishop’s Emergency Solidarity Fund will also work. Thank you for your consideration.

The Mount Prospect Food Pantry is in great need especially in these challenging times. Please contribute what you are able to the blue bins in the Narthex. Your help is greatly appreciated!
